The above page introduces to "Sketch"
readers the faces of eighteen artists and writers whose owrk is well
known to them, and who are among the many distinguished contributors to
the Christmas Number of the "Magpie". Mr. G. E. Studdy is the
creator of "Bonzo", and both Mr. A. Forestier and Mr. Steven Spurrier
are artists whose work is well known to readers of the "Illustrated
London News". Mr. Dale Collins is the brilliant author of
"Ordeal", one of the most remarkable novels of the year, and Mr.
Laurence Meynell is a clever young writer whose "Mockbeggar" has just
appeared. Mr. E. H. Shepard needs no introduction to "Sketch"
readers, who are also familliar with the admirable work of Mr. Arthur
Watts, Mr. Smithson Broadhead, and Mr. Warwick Reynolds; while the
inimitable artist, Mr. W. Heath Robinson, is a well-established
favourite. Baroness Albert Sadoine is the daughter of Mr. Sam
McCulloch, of Melbourne, and the wife of Baron Albert Sadoine, who
